2019 Women's Soccer Schedule
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's soccer head coach Adrian Blewitt has unveiled the 18-game schedule for 2019 which features 10 home games and the annual Star Match against Navy at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.
"I think our early games will be great preparation for our Patriot League season as we continue to advance our program," said Blewitt. "We look forward to establishing Clinton Field as a tough place for away teams to play. If we can be good at home this season, I think the character in this year's team will also be able to perform in tough games on the road. We are looking forward to the season and to the continuing growth of our program."
The Black Knights, who earned a berth to the Patriot League Tournament for the first time last season since 2014, open the 2019 slate with four home contests. Northern Arizona (Aug. 22), Vermont (Aug. 25), Albany (Aug. 29) and LIU Brooklyn (Sept. 1).
Army's first road tests will be in Colorado as the Cadets renew their rivalry with Air Force (Sept. 6) and Colorado College (Sept. 8).
Iona will come to the banks of the Hudson on Sept. 11 before the Black Knights travel to New Hampshire on Sept. 15. Hudson Valley rival Marist closes out the non-league schedule on Sept. 18.
The Midshipmen travel to Malek Stadium this season for the annual Star Match showdown which will take place on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. Boston U., Loyola and Lehigh will also be home Patriot League games for Army this season.
The Patriot League Quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 5, while the Semifinals are the 8th and Championship the 10th.
