Buddie Officially Introduced as Athletic Director

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army West Point Athletics held a press conference on Friday morning, introducing its new Director of Athletics Mike Buddie.

Superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams opened the press conference with remarks about the process and about Buddie's credentials as a career administrator in college athletics. Buddie was then introduced and spoke about his excitement to be at Army West Point and how he is ready to lead the department and how to lead it.

"What I do understand is how to lead a team," Buddie said. "How to get consensus and pull everyone in the same way. How to motivate and communicate and inspire young people and coaches to do their best everyday within the confines of what is truly important in duty, honor and country."

"My job is to win and to do so in a way that will make all of the @USArmy community across the planet extremely proud."
