Three Cadets Named Academic All-District

WEST POINT, N.Y. - College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced that three members of the Army West Point track and field program have been selected to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Division I Academic All-District® Track and Field/Cross Country Teams.
Junior Lynne Mooradian of the women's track and field team and juniors Ben Petrella and Jackson Sullivan of the men's track and field team were among the 10 individuals selected for each of their sports in District 1 (N.Y., Conn., Mass., Maine, N.H., R.I., Vt.)Â
Mooradian has been no stranger to academic honors this year, as she was named the Patriot League Indoor and Outdoor Track & FIeld Scholar Athlete of the Year. The mechanical engineering major carries a 4.21 GPA and was the 2018 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year.
Petrella is a two-time Patriot League Scholar Athlete of the Year, taking home the honor for Indoor Track & Field and Cross Country in 2018. The Liverpool, N.Y., native carries a 4.01 GPA and majors in physics.Â
Sullivan is a three-time Patriot League Academic All-League recipient. The nuclear engineering major holds a 3.67 grade point average.Â
The Google Cloud Academic Division I All-District® teams are divided into eight geographical regions across the United States and Canada. Patriot League institutions are covered by District 1 (Conn., Mass., Maine, N.H., N.Y., R.I., Vt.) and District 2 (D.C., Del., Ky., Md., N.J., Pa., W.Va.) and the All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in the classroom and on the field of play.
All of the honorees are now on the ballot for the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Team which will be announced in June.
