Army Tops St. Francis Brooklyn on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team closed out the 2019 regular season with a 5-2 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn at the Malek Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Prior to the match, Army honored seniors Melanie Allen, Kirby Einck and Genevieve McCormick for their service and dedication to the program over the last four years. All three seniors excelled in the final home match of their careers, earning wins in both singles and doubles action.
The Black Knights finished the regular season with a 19-7 record, while the Terriers dropped to 3-13 on the year.

- This was the first-ever meeting between the Black Knights and Terriers.
- Einck posted her 67th career singles victory, two shy of tying Carolyn Pitman and Diana Alquero for ninth on Army's all-time list.
- The Geneva, Ill., native added the 74th doubles win of her career as she moved within three of cracking the team's top-10 list.
- Allen notched her fifth singles dual win of the year.
- The Cape Coral, Fla., native earned her 50th career doubles victory.
- McCormick tallied her 30th career singles dual win.
- The Berwyn, Pa., native documented her 50th career doubles victory and 10th of the year.
- Waldman remained perfect in her career with her 10th singles dual win and eighth of the season.
- Joyner etched her 35th career singles win.
- Bou collected her team-leading 20th doubles win of the season.
- Son contributed her 45th career doubles win and 10th of the season.
