On Point: More Than a Game

The Army West Point baseball team is making it a team goal to help bring awareness to an important cause… Autism. With April being Autism Awareness Month, the Black Knights have continued to support and honor not only those affected but the teachers and aids who work tirelessly with some of the most vulnerable students.
This cause is especially meaningful to the Army Baseball Family as head coach Jim Foster's daughter, Delaney has autism. For the third-straight year the Army baseball team hosted an Autism Awareness Weekend and this year's event was their most successful to date.
"Special education teachers don't get a ton of recognition because normally they only have a couple of students," Narelle Foster said. "This is just one little thing we're able to do to let those teachers know that they're doing the hard work and it's really appreciated."
