All-Patriot League First Team Honors for Hovren

CENTRAL VALLEY, Pa. - Senior Madison Hovren was selected to the All-Patriot League First Team after leading the league in scoring and rebounding as the Patriot League announced its postseason women's basketball awards.
The forward was named to her third postseason all-league team in her career and was a first teamer for the second time.
Hovren finished the regular season as the Patriot League leader in scoring and rebounding. The senior is averaging 19.0 points per game and is grabbing 12.9 boards per contest. She recorded 21 points and 13 rebounds in the regular-season finale against Bucknell.
Hovren has reached double digits in 23-straight games and has scored over 20 points in five consecutive games.
She became Army's all-time leader in rebounds in a single season and currently has 373 on the year.
The forward became the third player in school history to reach 1,000 rebounds in a career after grabbing 11 against Navy on Feb. 16. She is also only the second player in Army history to reach 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career. She passed Erin Anthony for second all-time in rebounds with 15 against Lehigh and now sits with 1,071 career rebounds.
The Black Knights are back in action tomorrow in the Patriot League First Round against Lafayette with the tipoff coming at 1 p.m. on the Patriot League Network.
