Renard Named AWPAA Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT - Michael Renard of the Army West Point men's track and field team has been named Army West Point Athletic Association Athlete of the Week.Â
The junior set the Academy shot put record on Saturday with a throw of 17.68 meters at the Penn Challenge in Philadelphia, Pa. The mark broke Kris Terrill's record of 17.38 set in 1998.Â
The Apex, N.C., native was also named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week earlier this week.Â
The Black Knights will return to action on April 6 for the Army-Navy Outdoor Star Meet in Annapolis, Md.Â
