On Point: Relentless Pursuit
February 15, 2019 | General, Men's Lacrosse, Athletics
Cadet candidates have to work tirelessly to obtain a nomination to attend the U.S. Military Academy. One path of acceptance into the preeminent leadership institution in the world is through the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School. James Pryor of the Army West Point men's lacrosse team took that exact path, but things did not go as expected.Â
Once at the prep school, Pryor faced a hurdle - he was not accepted into USMA and had to forge a new path. Although shaken, Pryor did not deter from his goal. The misstep was a wakeup call and lit a new fire under him to defeat the odds and attend West Point the following year. Through his relentless pursuit of his dream, Pryor is now a plebe on the lacrosse team and aims to make a positive impact on those around him well into the future.Â
