Brown Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Hope Brown of the Army West Point women's basketball team was tabbed the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. This marks the fourth consecutive week that an Army cadet-athlete was named the league's top rookie.
Brown registered a game-high 20 points in last Wednesday's win over LIU at Christl Arena. The Phillipsburg, N.J., native was 3-of-5 from deep range and was 7-of-9 at the charity stripe. Her 20 points surpassed her previous high of eight. She also corralled eight rebounds, a new career high.
This marks the first time for Brown earning the honor. Sabria Hunter (Nov. 18 & Dec. 2) and Kamryn Hall (Nov. 25) are the other two members of the team to be named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week this season.
Army resumes action on Monday, Dec. 9 when it takes on St. John's in Queens, N.Y. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
