Bentley Tops Army, Splits Weekend Series

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point hockey team suffered a 4-2 setback to Bentley Saturday night at Tate Rink.Â

The Black Knights and Falcons split on the weekend as the Cadets won Friday night, but dropped the Saturday contest.Â

Colin Bilek and Anthony Firriolo were the goal scorers in tonight's contest. Both tallies came on the power play.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
- The Black Knights went on top 10:28 into the action thanks to a power play top shelf goal by Bilek.Â
- Bilek scored from the left dot and snuck the puck in the top left corner of the goal.Â
- The Falcons answered back with three tallies.Â
- Bentley scored with 4:24 remaining the first period to tie the score at 1-1.Â
- In the second period the Falcons netted two in a 1:39 minute span to take a 3-1 lead.Â
- Thanks to a 5:00 penalty by Bentley, Firriolo notched a power play tally to make it a one goal contest 2:11 into the third stanza.Â
- Bentley did not stay quiet and scored halfway through the period to give the opponent a 4-2 edge.Â
HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Firriolo scored for the second time this weekend and added an assist for his first multi-point performance.
- The rookie netted his first power play goal.Â
- He now totals five points on the year.Â
- Bilek's goal was his fourth of the year.Â
- He also assisted Firriolo to mark the first multi-point game this season and second in his two-years as a Black Knight.Â
- The sophomore now totals 11 career goals and 25 career points.Â
- Eric Butte picked up his fourth assist of the season tonight and eighth point.Â
- Mason Krueger was also in the assist column and it was his third this year.Â
- Krueger registers six points this season and 30 in his career.Â
- Trevin Kozlowski registered 24 saves on the night.Â

- The Black Knights will travel to Robert Morris next weekend for games on Saturday (5 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.) before taking a three-week hiatus.Â
