Black Knights Fall to Colgate on the Road

WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Army West Point women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Colgate on the road Saturday.
The Black Knights finish tied for second in Patriot League standings with 14 points. Holy Cross also has 14 points but has the edge for seeding due to tie breaker protocol.
Army will host a Patriot League Quarterfinal game on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The opponent and time will be determined later today.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colgate was on the offensive off the bat going up 1-0 in the 12th minute.
- The Raiders setup the goal with a long cross to the far goal post where Ruby Diodati was able to snipe in a low ball.
- The Black Knights saw an opportunity to even the score off a corner kick in the 50th minute, but it was just high of the cross bar.
HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- The Black Knights ended the regular season with a 7-6-4 overall record.
- Army is 4-3-2 in the Patriot League and will be the third seed in the post season tournament.
- Lauren Drysdale and Sydney Shafer led Army offensively with three shots each.
- Sydney Cassalia made one save.
