Army Battles to Scoreless Draw at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After playing to a scoreless draw against Lehigh on Saturday night, the Army West Point men's soccer team picked up its first point in Patriot League play this season.
The Black Knights (2-5-2, 0-3-1 Patriot League) were outshot by the Mountain Hawks (7-2-1, 3-0-1 Patriot League), 15-10, but neither side could manufacture a goal through 110 minutes of action.
Army and Lehigh combined to place just four shots on goal with two coming from each team. Keenan O'Shea and Oscar Pereira led the Black Knights with three shots apiece.

The Black Knights will take on No. 21 Navy next Friday night at 7 p.m. in the eighth installment of the Army-Navy Cup at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. The Cadets currently lead the Army-Navy Cup series, 3-2-2.

- Army notched double-digit shots for the seventh time this season.
- The Black Knights blanked the Mountain Hawks for the first time since Oct. 26, 2013.
- Jacob Suppiah made his first collegiate start in between the pipes.
- The sophomore goalkeeper finished with a pair of saves.
- He posted his first career clean sheet.
- Cooper Warren got the starting nod for the first time in his collegiate career.
- It was the 50th all-time meeting between Army and Lehigh.
- Army and Lehigh tied for the seventh time in 50 meetings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Army's best scoring chance came in the 35th minute when a loose ball landed in front of O'Shea and he ripped a shot at the net, but it bounced down off the crossbar and back out into the box.
- For Lehigh, Trevor Koski sent a screaming shot at the Army goal in the 54th minute but Suppiah leaped into the air and sent it away.
