WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point hockey team suffered a 3-0 setback to Robert Morris Sunday evening to split the weekend series.

The Colonials jumped ahead 2-0 after the first period and scored an insurance goal in the second.

The Black Knights put it all out there with a season-high 43 shots, but came up just short.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Robert Morris had a two-goal first period and added another in the second to go ahead 3-0. Darcy Walsh and Nick Jenny were responsible for the first scores of the game.
The Colonial's first goal came halfway through the first period, while the second was scored with 2:14 remaining in the frame.
After 11:59 into the second stanza, Robert Morris struck again when Cameron Hebert redirected a shot taken by Garrett Clegg into the net.
The Black Knights had several power play opportunities, including four in the final period, but was not able to score on those chances.

HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES

All of Robert Morris' goals were even-strength.
The Black Knights have not allowed a power play score since the season opener which spans 214:20 minutes of action.
The Colonials had four power play opportunities tonight.
Trevin Kozlowski made 17 saves on the night.
Zach Evancho and Alex Wilkinson led the Black Knights in shots with seven apiece.
Wilkinson also contributed a game-high four blocks.
Army's 43 shots was a season-high.
The Coloniols posted their first shutout against the Cadets since a 3-0 victory on Feb. 13, 2016.
Tonight's game was number 600 at Tate Rink.
