Davis Earns Rookie of the Week Nod

DANBURY, Conn. – Mathew Davis of the Army West Point gymanstics team was tabbed the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Week for the second time.Â

Davis championed the all-around in Army's meet versus fifth-ranked Penn State. The freshman posted a career-high 80.150 at the meet.Â
He tied for second on floor exercise (14.100) and parallel bars (13.100). The Frisco, Texas, native also had a third-place showing on high bar after turning out a 13.000.Â

The Black Knights travel to Springfield on Sunday for a dual meet at 1 p.m.Â
