Hovren Earns Second Weekly League Honor

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Senior Madison Hovren was tabbed as the Patriot League Women's Basketball Player of the Week after leading Army to a pair of conference wins over Lafayette and Navy.
Hovren led the Black Knights to two League wins last week as they defeated Lafayette, 65-50, and Navy, 55-52, as she averaged 19 points and 12.5 rebounds.
Against Lafayette, the senior tallied her 12th double-double of the season with 23 points and 16 rebounds. It was the fifth time this year she has recorded 15 or more rebounds in a game. In the 72nd all-time meeting with Navy, she finished with 16 points and nine rebounds as the team snapped a five-game losing streak to the Mids.
She was named the player of the week for the 11th time in her career and for the second time this season.
The Black Knights are back on the court on Wednesday evening at Holy Cross for a 6 p.m. tipoff on NESNPlus in New England and online on the Patriot League Network at PatriotLeague.tv.
