Army to Host Two Fall Ball Games; Scout Day
September 27, 2018 | Baseball
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point baseball, the reigning Patriot League Champions, will be hosting two fall ball games as well as a scout day.
The first fall contest will happen this Saturday when the Black Knights welcome Bryant to Doubleday Field at 2:05 p.m.
The Cadets and Bulldogs last faced off during the regular season when Army took home an 11-7 neutral site victory on March 2.
The Black Knights will then host a scout day on Oct. 10th at 3 p.m. before closing their fall schedule with one final contest against CAA foe Northeastern on Oct. 21 at 1:05 p.m. on Doubleday Field.
The Huskies and Cadets were selected to the same NCAA Regional group this past spring, but did not face each other during the weekend.
Admission for all events are free of charge.
The Black Knights lost just two players to graduation, but those two were significant in Jon Rosoff and Matt Ball. Rosoff was named the 2018 Patriot League Player of the Year, while Ball was tabbed with Google Cloud Academic All-America praise.
Army returns 32 cadet-athletes from last year's squad, including Anthony Giachin, Tyler Giovinco and Jacob Hurtubise, who all earned postseason Patriot League honors in 2018.
