Hovren Earns Patriot League Weekly Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army West Point senior forward Madison Hovren received her first Patriot League Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor this season.
Hovren finished last week with two double-doubles as the Black Knights defeated both Fairleigh Dickinson (62-40) and Wagner (61-46). She has now won 11 career Patriot League weekly awards.Â
Hovren averaged 31 points, 18 rebounds, two steals and 1.50 assists in two games for Army. In the Black Knights' 62-40 victory over FDU, she collected 30 points and 22 boards, while against Wagner she recorded 32 points and 14 rebounds in the 61-46 win. The senior's 32-point performance versus Wagner was a season-high, and her 22 rebounds against FDU was a career-high tally.
The Black Knights are back in action tomorrow night against Yale before the holiday break. The game is slated to start at 7 p.m. in Christl Arena.Â
