November 11, 2018 | Men's Soccer
BALTIMORE, Md. – In it's sixth appearance in the Patriot League Championship, the Army West Point men's soccer team fell to Colgate Sunday afternoon in a one-goal game.
The No. 3 Raiders netted the only goal of the contest in the sixth minute to defeat the fifth-ranked Black Knights.
Due to their outstanding performances in Army's upset victory in the semifinal over top-ranked Loyola, and from today's Championship, Zac McGraw, Justin Stoll and Keenan O'Shea were named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team.
"We started the season knowing that if we were a collective that personified belief and gratitude, we would be hard to beat," head coach Russell Payne said. "It took time and toughness along with hard work and enthusiasm this season, but this group of young men displayed belief and gratitude during crucible moments on and off the field. Our hearts ache a little right now, but we know that we will be back. Thank you to the Long Gray Line, the parents, the school, and everyone that believed and supported these amazing young men this season."
