Black Knights Wrap Up Day Two of Invites

PRINCETON N.J. / WEST LAFAYETTE, IN - The Army men's tennis team continued its two tournaments Saturday at both the Farnsworth Invitational hosted by Princeton, and the Purdue Invite in Indiana.
After a tough day one at Princeton, Army bounced back with a solid day two at the Farnsworth Invitational.
The Black Knights went 2-1 in doubles play and 6-6 in singles action on day two.
The Army plebes showcased their promise at Purdue, with Diego Huttepain and Alejandro Quiros both performing well in their final day of play.
FARNSWORTH INVITATIONAL
Myles Conlin went 2-0 on the day in singles action, and along with Nikita Larichev, also won in doubles play.
"These guys are working hard, getting better, and I think this tournament will be great for us in the long run," said Jim Poling, men's tennis head coach.

PURDUE INVITATIONAL
Plebe Diego Huttepain marveled once again in singles play and will certainly be a player to keep an eye on this season and beyond.
Huttepain went 1-1 playing in the C Flight. His first match versus Danilo Vukotic of Toledo went three sets, with Huttepain winning a masterful third set, 6-3, 6-7(3), 14-12.
"Diego really grew up a lot," said Randy Rowley, associate head coach. "One of the most coachable guys I've ever been around. Really excited thats hes in black and gold."
Fellow plebe Alejandro Quiros also went three sets in his first match, but came up short versus Tyler Gargas of Toledo, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7.
The pair would also drop their lone match in doubles, 7-5,
