Army Falls to No. 6 Lehigh on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point wrestling team dropped a 30-6 to No. 6 Lehigh on senior day on Sunday afternoon at Christl Arena.

In front of a crowd of 331 spectators, the Black Knights dropped to 1-6 on the season and 0-3 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA), while the Mountain Hawks improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 against conference opponents.

Lehigh built a 10-point lead before 18th-ranked Cortlandt Schuyler was forced exit due to an injury and putting Army back into the match, 10-6. The Mounatin Hawks managed to pick up a pair of decisions, however, to improve their lead back to double-digits with four bouts remaining.

The Black Knights were never able to recover.
