January 13, 2018 | Rifle
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The No. 11 Army West Point rifle competed at home on Saturday afternoon defeating Coast Guard, but falling short against No. 3 Kentucky.
"UK shot really well today," said head coach Web Wright. [Henrik] Larsen shot an incredible smallbore score. He set the range record today."
Â
"Payne [Nunn] and Clayton [Hanson] set the standard for us today with 582's in smallbore and Matt [Lovre] shot his PR in air today to lead us with a 588. It's good to see Matt do well. He has been working really hard and it's paying off."
Â
"Overall not bad. We still have lots of room to improve. If we can get all five on the roster to put it together at the right time, we will certainly increase or odds at qualifying for NCAAs. That's the focus for the next couple of matches as we near the qualifier in February."
Â
AGGREGATE (4650)
SMALLBOREÂ (2311)
AIR RIFLE (2339)
UP NEXT:
The Black Knights continue their season by heading to Palmyra, Pa., to battle against No. 12 Akron on Jan. 28.
