Promotions Set for 2017 Football Season

WEST POINT, N.Y. – A host of recognitions, promotions and special events are planned for the 2017 Army West Point football season.

The Black Knights will host six games at historic Michie Stadium in 2017 with each kickoff set for noon with the exception of the season opener against Fordham, which will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 and a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 30 against UTEP.

Army West Point will welcome Fordham (Sept. 1), Buffalo (Sept. 9), UTEP (Sept. 30), E. Michigan (Oct. 14), Temple (Oct. 21) and Duke (Nov. 11) to Michie Stadium for the fourth season of head coach Jeff Monken's tenure.

Friday, Sept. 1 vs. Fordham

Saturday, Sept. 9 vs. Buffalo

Branch Week: In conjunction with the Corps of Cadets' Branch Week, there will be several hundred tons of military equipment, vehicles and weapons near the Plain for the Academy's spin on a college career fair. The Buffalo game falls at the beginning of a week-long event that gives the opportunity for the Corps of Cadets to learn about various career fields. Fans will see tanks, attack helicopters and armored vehicles during the Cadet Review beginning at 9:00am, as well as have the opportunity to take a walk and see this military hardware up close.

Saturday, Sept. 30 vs. UTEP

Hall of Fame Weekend: Join us as we honor the 2017 inductees selected into the Army Sports Hall of Fame including: men's soccer star Scotty Adams, former men's lacrosse and men's soccer coach Dick Edell, football and men's lacrosse extraordinaire Charlie Jarvis, football and baseball standout Bob Mischak, men's lacrosse great Bob Miser and men's cross country and track and field star Jason Stewart. Homecoming: Army West Point Athletics welcomes back West Point graduates for one of the most scenic games of the season.
