Army Finishes Fifth at USA Rugby 7s Championships

GLENDALE, Colo. – The Army West Point women's rugby team earned a fifth-place finish at the USA Rugby 7s Championships after capturing the shield championship on Sunday.

Army opened the second and final day of the tournament by falling to Central Washington, 17-12, in overtime. The Black Knights responded with a 31-7 victory over Michigan before topping Penn State 21-17 in the shield finals.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES

Army completed the tournament with a record of 4-2.
The Black Knights conclude their 7s season with a record of 22-6.
Zye Crittington scored twice today, bringing her tournament total to five tries.
Bayleigh Gable scored five tries, while adding 14 conversions for a team-best 53 points.
