FIELD EVENTS
"Our men lost the meet today, but the gap was narrowed significantly. Last year the meet was over by the time we got to the track events. Today the outcome was not decided until the very end. We had some great performances in the high jump and long jump and from our guys in the 1500-meter and the 800-meter. Those sweeps really propelled us. Our veterans got the job done in the 400-meter, the steeplechase and the pole vault, but we could not amass enough of the small points to make up the gap. While we are disappointed, we know that the arrow is pointing upward and that better days lie ahead. I know the guys have the resolve to continue to work, to improve and that in the end will change the outcome in the future."
UP NEXT:
The Black Knights will participate in the Delaware Open in Newark, Del., on April 8.
