Oxford, Miss. - The No. 12 Army West Point rifle team fell to GARC opponent No. 13 Ole Miss in it's first match of the season, 4645-4622 on Saturday.

Coach's Quotes:
"I think we learned a little bit and we are going to capitalize on that for the next few matches," said head coach Webster Wright. "We head to Murray State and then Memphis, and based on our experiences from this match, there is a little bit of work and changing our strategy that will help lead to improvements in our performance."

The Black Knights tallied an aggregate score of 4622, 23 points behind Ole Miss.

SMALLBORE (2290)

Junior Nathan Brewer was the leading scorer for Army in the smallbore discipline, shooting 577.
Freshman Clayton Hanson had an impressive showing in his first match for the Black Knights, following close behind with a score of 573.

AIR RIFLE (2332)

Freshman Kaitlyn Kutz led the squad in the air rifle disciplinein her first match for Army, shooting 587.
She was followed closely behind by junior Payne Nunn (585) and Hanson (584).
