Men’s Rugby Unveils 15s Fall Slate

2016 Fall Men's Rugby Schedule
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Second-year head coach Matt Sherman and the Army West Point men's rugby program has announced the fall portion of its 2016-17 15s schedule.
The schedule includes 10 matches, eight of which are against Rugby East opponents.
The Black Knights, who posted a record of 9-3 last fall en route to a second-place finish in the Rugby East, open the season at Anderson Rugby Complex against Stony Brook on Sept. 2, as part of a three match home stand. Army will also host Iona on Sept. 9, and West Virginia on Sept. 17.
Army will then hit the road for three matches starting with St. Bonaventure and Buffalo on Sept. 23 and 24, respectively. A trip to Newark, Del., concludes the Cadets' stretch away from home as they welcome Delaware to the Rugby East on Oct. 1. The Black Knights return to the banks of the Hudson on Oct. 8, when they welcome the Nittany Lions before heading back on the road to face Wheeling Jesuit on Oct. 15.
Kutztown will come to West Point on Oct. 29, in the final Rugby East match of the season before Army closes out the year against Air Force on Nov. 4.
