West Point, N.Y. – The Army West Point rifle team defeated No. 15 Ole Miss on Friday to kick off a five match home-stand.

AGGREGATE SCORING

The Black Knights captured the title by outscoring the rebels 2321-2293 in smallbore. This was the deciding concentration as both teams shot a 2349 in air rifle.
Sophomore Nathan Brewer captured the overall title with an aggregate score of 1173, a 582 in smallbore and a 591 in air rifle.
Seniors Marvin Lewis and Danielle Cuomo rounded out the top four overall shooting for the Cadets by posting scores of 1164 and 1163, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN SMALLBORE

Army took the top four spots in smallbore with Brewer, senior Allen Solida, Lewis and Cuomo scoring 582, 582, 580, and 577, respectively.
Ole Miss' top scorers were Harley Gardner (576) and Jess Haig (574).
Freshman Madeline Erikson would round out the scoring for the Black Knights with a 573.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN AIR RIFLE

The field was led again by Brewer who, along with the Rebel's Gardner, were the only two to score over 590, with both shooters scoring a 591.
Ole Miss took the third spot with Ali Weisz scoring a 589 followed by Erikson with a 588.
Cuomo and junior Michael Garner round out the scores for Army shooting 586 and 585, respectively.
