Second-year head coach Web Wright:
"Part of what we worked on over the summer was our mental game. We worked a lot to find the zone and to have the confidence to let the subconscious take over and perform to the upmost ability.
"I think we brought in a couple of new recruits and they are very thirsty and very driven. I think they are pushing the upperclassmen to some extent to overall increase their performance as a team.
"The big goal is to continue to increase our performance. All last year the scores increased and we did a good job of getting better throughout the year; I want to continue to do that this year.
"Right now focus on learning, focus on increasing performance and focus on the trust and the confidence to shoot the winning scores.
"Toward the end of last year, we were pretty good and ended up fourth in the conference championship against some pretty phenomenal teams. We are even better than that right now.
"I am looking forward to Monday, and I want to see how we are going to do when there is that actual pressure going on. I think we are going to surprise a lot of the teams out there."
NEXT UP: Road matches (Oct. 29-30) vs. Kentucky and Morehead State, respectively, at the Wildcats Range.
