Black Knights Alley Events Set for Home Opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point football team makes its 2015 debut during its home opener Friday, Sept. 4, under the lights at historic Michie Stadium. The Black Knights will face Fordham at 7 p.m. Army fans are invited to arrive early for a visit to Black Knights Alley.

In an effort to control lines entering the stadium from Black Knights Alley, this year the fan fest area will only be accessible with a game day ticket. Fans will be permitted to scan in their tickets to enter and have tickets scanned to exit.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early on Friday to take part in the multitude of fan activities offered on football game days at West Point including Black Knights Alley. Please visit ARMYgameday.com for all game day information.

Approximately two hours before kickoff, Army's football team members and coaches will participate in Black Knight Walk and parade through the heart of Black Knights Alley en route to the team locker room. Fans are encouraged to attend and support the Black Knights as they get set for kickoff versus the Rams.

Black Knights Alley will open at 4 p.m. Friday evening and will be open until the game begins. The fan fest area is located along Mills Road between Michie Stadium and Lusk Reservoir. Black Knights Alley will be open three hours prior to kickoff for all home games this season and features live music, inflatables for kids, food and beverage, beer tent, face painting, a different interactive sport every game, tailgate show, as well as other vendors.

Friday evening's Black Knights Alley activities will feature Coca-Cola inflatables and Army humvee vehicles bookending the event between Gates 1 and 3 of Michie Stadium. The Army Football Tailgate Show will hit the air live from outside Gate 2 beginning at 5 p.m., while a cadet band will entertain fans from the Gate 1 end of the Alley adjacent to the Anheuser-Busch beverage tent.

Members of Army men's and women's swimming and diving teams, as well as rifle and sprint football will be on hand taking part in interactive stations and face painting with fans. In addition, displays and representatives from Navy Federal Credit Union, Edible Arrangements, State Farm, BattleField Collection, PenFed, Pamal Radio, USAA, Defense Mobile, St. Luke's Hospital – Cornwall, Residential Home Funding and Coca Cola will be featured along the Alley. There will also be a U.S. Army Recruiting tent in Black Knights Alley.
