June 08, 2015 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
WEST POINT, N.Y. - As part of the Army West Point Athletics rebrand, the court at Christl Arena is currently being resurfaced with new branding to reflect the Black Knights' new logo. Christl Arena is located inside the Holleder Center and is home to the Army West Point basketball programs.
Christl Arena possesses a Horner hardwood basketball floor and measures 149x116 feet. The new resurfacing will feature the Athena Shield logo at center court, measuring 25x21 5/12 feet. The sidelines and baselines will be outlined in solid black with ARMY and WEST POINT written in the Army Stencil font on opposite ends of the court.
The hardwood floor will be one traditional color, with the area inside the three-point arc a shade darker than the rest of the floor. A full-color Patriot League logo will be highlighted next to each sideline between the center court and three-point arc facing the Christl Arena stands. Both Patriot League logos will be 4x7 1/4 feet.
Praters Design, out of Chattanooga, Tenn., is handling the project.
