NAME: Alyssa Hanson
HOMETOWN: Cumming, Ga.
MAJOR: Engineering Management
DESCRIBE COACH PECK: Coach has been doing this for a long time and he knows what needs to be done for this team to be successful. He pushes us to be better and really motivates us to achieve our goals.
FAVORITE ATHLETE: Brian McCann
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM: Atlanta Braves
BEST PART OF ARMY WOMEN'S TENNIS: The broad spectrum of personalities on the team results in there rarely being a dull moment
FAVORITE COURT TO PLAY AT: Court 6.
OPPONENT MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING: I am most looking forward to playing Air Force because they are one of our sister academies and we haven't played them since I joined the team. But playing Navy is always cool because of the atmosphere of playing your rival, especially at home this year.
HOW ARE YOU SPENDING YOUR SUMMER: I am doing Air Assault as my leadership detail and spending three weeks in Korea for my CTLT.
TO RELAX, I: listen to music and spend time with friends doing anything...I'm not picky.
FAVORITE MEAL: I love Pad Thai
FAVORITE VACATION SPOT: Glen Lake, Michigan.
MY IPOD HAS: A lot of country music
FAVORITE PART OF AN ARMY MATCH DAY: Being with the girls and being there to cheer them on
FAVORITE PART OF WEST POINT: I love the sense of camaraderie that you feel here. I feel like I'm part of a big family.
DESCRIBE ARMY WOMEN'S TENNIS: Army Women's Tennis is unique because it takes a bunch of different girls, from all different walks of life, who have been playing as individuals for more than ten years, and brings them together to achieve a common goal. Being a part of a team is like having a built in circle of friends.
WHAT PLAYER WILL SURPISE PEOPLE IN 2014-15: Eva Sung, who is coming off an injury, will be back on the court. I expect that we will see some great things from her.
WHO IS STRONGEST PLAYER ON TEAM: Haley O'Connor
WHO IS FASTEST PLAYER ON TEAM: Taler Brazell
WHO IS FUNNIEST PLAYER ON TEAM: Allyson Hayley, one of the mighty mikes. She has a tendency to see if she is small enough to fit in duffel bags.
WHICH PLAYER IS MOST LIKLEY TO BECOME A GENERAL: Maya Parker. She is no nonsense.
WHAT TEAM THAT IS NOT ON OUR SCHEDULE WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY AND WHY: I think it would be cool to play any team in the South. We do not play any teams outside the region and I think it would be cool to play someone new.
I FOLLOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ON TWITTER: I don't even think I have a twitter.
