Ally Keirn Joins Athletic Communications Staff

WEST POINT N.Y. -- Ally Keirn has joined the Army Office of Athletic Communications, in the role of Athletic Communications Assistant, where she will serve as the coordinator of Army-Navy social media and is the primary contact for men's and women's swimming and diving as well as golf.
Keirn comes to West Point from Bloomsburg (Pa.) University where she spent the previous two years serving as the graduate assistant in the sports information office. She worked closely with Bloomsburg's 20 Division II varsity sports teams as well as Division I wrestling. She played an integral role in the social media efforts for the athletic department and was the creative designer for the Athletics Strategic Plan in 2013. Keirn was involved with all day-to- day operations of the sports information office, including a majority of the graphics work for web and print publications. During her two years with the Huskies Keirn earned a Masters of Business Administration degree.
Prior to Bloomsburg, Keirn was a four-year member of the Mercyhurst University women's lacrosse team where she earned two All-America awards, three All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selections and multiple Scholar-Athlete accolades. Keirn was also chosen for the United States of America Athletes International squad that traveled to Melbourne, Australia, in 2010 for the Down Under Cup. She was named a team captain her senior season and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in 2012 with a concentration in Sports Business Management.
Keirn also serves as an assistant to the Director of New Media for ECAC-SIDA and aids with the social media efforts of the association.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., Keirn currently resides at West Point.
