Army Evolves Social Media To Include Robust Video Content

WEST POINT, N.Y. - While Army is already visible across all social media platforms, in an effort to continue the evolvement of one of the most successful social media campaigns across non-major NCAA Division I programs, the Black Knights will delve into offering more video content across the applicable mediums. More specifically, this step will take full advantage of Instagram's recently unveiled 15-second video clip option.
Army's social media platforms have proven to be tremendous vehicles of information and provide a unique outreach and engagement method for the athletic department and its teams to interact with fans. The Black Knights Digital Network currently encompasses social media outlets Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Tumblr.
While Army has enjoyed great success growing its Facebook and Twitter numbers to rank among the top in collegiate athletics social media numbers, the Black Knights continue to investigate all avenues for growth. An expanded video clip presence via Instagram further exemplifies that effort.
Army currently ranks third among non-major Division I programs with 44,277 Facebook "likes" on its Army Black Knights page. The Black Knights land sixth with 9,362 fans following @ArmyAthletics on Twitter. In addition, Army has a total of 10,132 fans following all sport-specific handles, in addition to @ArmyAthletics.
The Black Knights are also among a small number of institutions blazing a trail in the form of its social media rewards program, Hooah! Rewards, which awards fans with prizes for sharing, interacting and more on Army's bevy of social media platforms.
While www.goARMYsports.com remains the hub of all things Army athletics, fans are encouraged to stay connected with the Black Knights through all of their social media outlets for a more informative and enhanced experience.
