Gymnasts Fall To William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Four Army gymnasts earned medalist honors, but it wasn't enough as the No. 14 Black Knights fell to No. 15 William & Mary, 329.6-322.2,Thursday evening.
Junior Garrek Hojan-Clark was first on pommel horse for the second straight time and fifth meet this season with a 14.8, and classmate Ikaika Jakub recorded a season-high 14.4 in winning vault.
Chase Brown was first on floor exercise for the third time in 2012 after earning a share of medalist honors with a 13.9, and freshman all-arounder Alex Ganz posted a 14.0 to tie for first on still rings.
"We had good performances tonight, but struggled in a few events," said Army head coach Doug Van Everen, "and we hope to do better on Saturday."
The Black Knights close out their regular-season schedule Saturday evening taking on host William & Mary along with Temple in a triangular meet.
