Jason Butikofer Named Associate Athletic Director For Development

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army Athletic Association welcomed Jason Butikofer as Associate Athletic Director for Development in September. Butikofer joins the administrative team where he will oversee the Army A Club, Ticket Operations and Army's recently inked partnership with Aspire.
Butikofer came to West Point from the University of Minnesota where he served as Director - Annual Fund & Premium Seating for three years. While at the University of Minnesota, Butikofer served as a member of the fund raising team that directed the capital attainment associated with the $288 million TCF Bank Stadium, which opened in 2009. He also spearheaded the premium seating sales and marketing campaign associated with the new football home, resulting in $4.9 million of premium seating. In addition, Butikofer generated record-breaking growth to the Golden Gopher Fund's annual giving efforts, with dramatic increases in both number of donors and annual dollars raised.
Prior to joining the Golden Gopher Fund staff, Butikofer served as the Director of the Sun Angel Foundation and Ticket Office at Arizona State. He was instrumental in developing new donor programs and relationships, representing a 50 percent increase in active donors and 80 percent increase in funds raised for the foundation.
Butikofer also brings private sector experience, spending over one year raising capital in the private equity industry. He also made stops at the University of Iowa, Luther College and the St. Louis Rams before landing at West Point.
A native of Elgin, Iowa, Butikofer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport, Health, Leisure and Physical Studies from the University of Iowa. He is currently completing a Master's in Public Administration.
