WEST POINT, N.Y. - For the third consecutive summer, Army coaches will venture out into the Hudson Valley as part of the Army Athletic Association's "Coaches Caravan." The caravan will make its first stop of the summer on Wednesday evening, June 22, at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, N.Y., for the Hudson Valley Renegades' contest versus the Staten Island Yankees.
While the Renegades game is not scheduled to start until 7:05 p.m., the Army caravan is slated to roll into Dutchess Stadium at 5:30 p.m., and last until 7:30 p.m.
The outreach program provides Black Knight fans the opportunity to interact with select Army coaches. Fans that attend the events can get autographs and photos, as well as purchase football tickets for the upcoming season.
Rifle coach Ron Wigger, women's tennis coach Paul Peck and women's soccer coach Stefanie Golan will represent the Army Athletic Association at the initial gathering this Wednesday.
Wednesday's caravan marks the first of several scheduled caravans taking place exclusively at Dutchess Stadium this summer. Army coaches will return for Renegades games on June 28, July 6, July 20 and August 3. Each caravan will last from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The 2011 Army football schedule includes promotions at all four home games. Season ticket plans begin at just $79. The Black Knights kick off the season on Sept. 3 at Northern Illinois before ushering in their home slate on Sept. 10 against San Diego State.
The ticket price for individual seats for the San Diego State, Northwestern and Fordham games is $32. The Tulane game, this year's homecoming contest, is priced at $38. Fans can secure their seats on-line, call the Army Athletics Ticket Office at 1-877-TIX-ARMY or in-person by visiting the Army Box Office located in the lobby of the Holleder Center.
Four tickets to the San Diego State contest will be raffled off on Wednesday during the caravan's stop at Dutchess Stadium.
