Pamela Flenke Named Communications Assistant

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army Athletic Association has announced the hiring of Pamela Flenke to the Athletic Communications staff as an assistant for the 2010-11 academic year.
Flenke will serve as the primary contact for the Black Knights' sprint football, men's tennis, cross country, and track & field teams.
The Windsor, Conn., native comes to West Point after spending the past year at the Big East Conference as a communications assistant. Flenke was the primary contact for baseball, track & field, tennis and field hockey, while also assisting with women's basketball and football. She was responsible for the production of media guides, postseason programs and weekly releases, as well as maintaining statistics, records and the website for the conference's 16 member schools. Flenke also aided in the preparation and execution of conference championships and media days, including men's basketball.
Prior to the Big East, she spent three years in the athletic media relations office at Providence College. While with the Friars, she was the primary contact for women's tennis and swimming & diving teams, and secondary contact for the nationally-ranked field hockey program.
Flenke earned her bachelor's degree from Providence in political science in 2007, followed by a master's in business administration in 2009.
