Black Knight Blog - Monday, Aug. 23
August 23, 2010 | General
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the first Black Knight Blog of the 2010-11 academic year! If you are a first-time reader, welcome! If you're a repeat reader, welcome back and I hope you have been looking forward to this first installment in a couple of months. Tracy Nelson with you today, and it's my pleasure to kick things off ...
As you know, we took the summer months off from writing this daily blog. Things slow down quite a bit and honestly, there just wasn't that much to write about. Boy has that notion changed in a hurry. I can't believe how quickly the summer went and that the fall season is upon us already. Women's soccer already got things going when Stefanie Golan's club played Army's first game last week. Volleyball will be the next team to open their season when head coach Alma Kovaci and the defending Patriot League Champions open with the Army Invitational all day Friday and Saturday at Gillis Field House.
If you're reading this blog now, you'll notice that today was a big day around here as we launched a newly redesigned website! It was a very exciting and long process, but it's been extremely rewarding to see the site come to fruition this week. Part of my job here in the Athletic Communications office is to oversee the website side of things. This redesign was definitely a new process for me, but it was a lot of fun and I'm really hoping that our fans like what they see. Click here to learn more about new features and elements that you'll be able to find on the new www.goARMYsports.com.
In closing, this is the perfect time for me to just mention again how much we enjoy getting feedback from Army fans around the world. If you have any questions/concerns/comments about the new site or anything pertaining to life here at Army, feel free to shoot us a note anytime. You can reach me at tracy.nelson@usma.edu anytime and I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.
Ta ta for now, but look for blog #2 to be in the books tomorrow. We're back on track!
GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY!
