Why did you decide to come to West Point? What were some of the deciding factors? Who or what influenced your decision?
I chose to come to West Point for the opportunity to take the road less traveled. I wanted to do something more than the norm of going to a typical college. Ever since I began getting recruited by West Point for baseball I saw the chance to do something challenging, receive the best education possible, have a secure job straight out of school, and play competitive Division I baseball. It was something I could not turn down. The history, honor, and tradition all were other factors and influences that helped me make my decision to come to West Point.
What does it mean to you to be able to play baseball at West Point?
It's a chance of a lifetime to play America's pastime all the while representing the most prestigious organization in the world.
What is the best thing about being an athlete at West Point?
Again you get to play a Division I sport and beat top level teams while representing the Army, West Point, and the United State of America.
What is the most difficult thing?
Balancing time to do academics and company tasks.
What is your fondest memory at West Point?
-In sports?
Winning multiple times in the NCAA Regional at Texas.
Outside of sports?
Watching the Firsties toss up their hats on Graduation day knowing I've made it another year closer to being able to do the same thing.
What adjustments have you had to make since arriving here?
Socially
I've had to be more open to other people instead of just in my close friendship area.
Athletically
Adjusting to the faster pace of college baseball.
Academically
Set priorities and make every second count that I have off to get ahead on work and not procrastinate ever. It will slip up and get you if you don't.
What do you enjoy doing during your "down time"?
Sleep. Lots of it.
What is your major and what is the most interesting thing you've learned here?
Human Geography. The most interesting thing I've learned would be how to approach every task professionally. Everything you do here has a purpose and needs to be done well and in a precise manner from academics, military, and in sports.
Which branch are you planning on entering following graduation?
Aviation
What is the best thing about being a cadet at West Point?
You get free meals for every meal each day of the week and you get paid for going to school.
