Mike Krzyzewski Bobblehead Added To Army Auction Site

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The recently unveiled Mike Krzyzewski Bobblehead has now been added to the the Army Athletic Association's official auction site, among other new items. The likeness of the 1969 West Point graduate was the feature giveaway during the Army men's basketball team's nationally televised game against Colgate on Feb. 7.
In addition to the Krzyzewski bobblehead, the women's basketball game day experience remains up for bid, along with a game-worn Nike football jersey, other autographed items and more.
Mike Krzyzewski '69 Bobblehead
A part of Army's growing bobblehead collection, this Mike Krzyzewski likeness was used as a giveaway during the men's basketball home game against Colgate on Feb. 7. Televised nationally by CBS College Sports, Army won the game by a 63-49 score. Perhaps better known simply as "Coach K,"Krzyzewski graduated from West Point in 1969 and was a member of two teams that earned NIT berths.
Following his military career, Krzyzewski joined the coaching ranks. He served as Army's head coach from 1976-80, compiling a 73-59 (.553) in five seasons. His 1977-78 squad was the last Army team to qualfiy for the postseason, earning an NIT bid. Kryzewski's 1976-77 squad was the Black Knights' last 20-win team, posting a 20-8 record.
Krzyzewski moved to Duke University in 1980 and posted a 760-215 record in his first 29 seasons in Durham. The 12-time national coach of the year has won three national championships and taken the Blue Devils to 10 Final Fours. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001 and coached the 2008 U.S. Olympic team to a gold medal in Beijing.
Women's Basketball Game Day Experience
Become one of the Black Knights with this exclusive Army women's basketball experience! The winner of this package will have the choice between two remaining home games - Sunday, Feb. 14 vs. Lehigh (1 p.m.) or Wednesday, Feb. 17 vs. American (7 p.m.). Aside from the experience portion of this package, the winner will receive four tickets to the game, which will be specially reserved behind the Army bench and four hospitality area passes (complimentary food and beverage). Only those 14 years of age and younger are eligible to participate in the remainder of the package, in which that individual will lead the Army team onto the court for final warm-ups, stand at midcourt to participate in the starting five and stand with the Black Knights for the playing of the national anthem. In addition, the winner of this auction will be given the game ball, signed by all players and head coach Dave Magarity after the game's conclusion. The young participant will be geared-up with an Army t-shirt as well.
Wilson Autographed Panel Football
An item that would be perfect for any Army football fan's bookshelf, this special-edition panel football by Wilson was autographed by members of the 2002 Army football team midway through the Black Knights' seven-year stay in Conference USA.
All of the aforementioned auctions are scheduled to close on Monday, Feb. 22, beginning at noon. The only exception to that date being the women's basketball game day experience, which closes on Friday, Feb. 12 in order to accommodate those select home games mentioned in the description above.
