Regiment Night Continues At Home Men's Hoops Game Wednesday
January 19, 2010 | General
WEST POINT, N.Y. - After enjoying great success in its first effort at last Wednesday night's women's basketball game against Holy Cross, the Army marketing staff is pleased to announce that "Regiment Night" will continue throughout the remainder of the home men's and women's basketball seasons. Cadets' next chance to take part will be Wednesday night's home men's game against American at 7 p.m.
Regiment Night resulted in more than 650 cadets in attendance, primarily from the third regiment, at last Wednesday's women's game. The goal is to increase that number throughout the five remaining home games this season. A list of games and regiment sponsors are below.
Among a bevy of incentives to drive attendance at weekday games, pizza and drinks are available for cadets that sign up online through the United States Corps of Cadets (USCC) prior to the game, along with both individual and company incentives to include Spirit Credit for all cadets and a WAMI exemption the following week awarded to the most spirited company.
Cadets are permitted to wear their Army Combat Uniform (ACU), along with a 12th Knight t-shirt and plebes in the sponsoring regiment that are academically proficient are allowed to miss mandatory plebe dinner if they sign up for Regiment Night in advance.
