Big Turn Out For Second Coaches Caravan

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. The Army Athletic Association’s “Coaches Caravan” stopped in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Thursday night and greeted a large crowd outside the train station.
Women’s basketball coach Dave Magarity, golf coach Jimmy Ray Clevenger, swimming and diving coaches Mickey Wender and wide receivers coach Andy Guyader, as well as members of Army’s marketing staff, were on hand during the two-hour visit.
The caravan is a new outreach established by the Army Athletic Association to allow fans the opportunity to meet and greet Army’s head coaches, gather information about Black Knights’ athletic events, be eligible for free tickets and purchase tickets for the upcoming football season.
Thursday’s visit was at Dooley Square near the Poughkeepsie Train Station and was held in conjunction with Radio Disney 1390.
Five additional caravans are scheduled for this summer in and around the Hudson Valley. Other dates and locations include: The Kingston Mall, July 1, from 5 to 7 p.m.; Kids Camps at the Middletown Galleria, July 7, from noon to 2 p.m.; the Poughkeepsie Galleria, July 15, from 5 to 7 p.m.; Kids Camps at the Poughkeepsie Galleria, July 21, from noon to 2 p.m.; and the Middletown Galleria, July 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Fans in attendance will have the chance to buy season tickets for the upcoming football season, a slate that includes promotions at all six home games. Season ticket plans begin at just $99.
