Knight Vision Carryng Second Black Knight Awards

WEST POINT, N.Y. The 2009 Black Knight Awards, scheduled for Sunday at 7 p.m. in Robinson Auditorium, will be broadcast live on ITT Knight Vision, Army’s subscription-based multi-media platform.
The Black Knight Awards, an event by the Army Athletic Association that is modeled after awards celebrations similar to the ESPY Awards, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Players, coaches and support staff from all 25 of Army’s NCAA sports will be on hand for the event which will be preceded by a brief reception.
The Black Knight Awards will honor All-Americans, scholar-athletes and league champions and several awards will be presented to cadet-athletes. Among the categories are men’s and women’s Team of the Year, Mr. and Mrs. Black Knight, Cow of the Year, Yearling of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Performance of the Year and Play of the Year. In addition, the “A” Club Lifetime Award will be distributed, as will the Maggie Dixon Inspiration Award and the Community Service Award.
Knight Vision will carry all of the evening’s festivities live as another memorable year in Black Knight athletics is celebrated.
Assistant Athletic Director Rich DeMarco will serve as the host for the event, which will feature video highlights of all nominees, as well as special commercials featuring members of the athletic department staff.
