Spring Experiences, Jerseys, Helmets Added To Auction Site

WEST POINT, N.Y. The Army Athletic Association continues to add new items to its official on-line auction site at www.goARMYsports.com.
A new initiative launched by the Army Athletic Association, the auction site has become the place for fans to find autographs, memorabilia, paintings, game-day experiences and much more.
The site has several new items now available for bidding, including experiences with the lacrosse and baseball teams, a game-worn football, jersey, “Think Pink” shirts, giveaways and many more collectibles.

Among the new items are one-of-a-kind opportunities with the Army lacrosse and baseball teams. The lacrosse experience is for children who have not yet entered ninth grade and allows kids the chance to serve as a ballboy for an Army lacrosse games. The package is for four and available for any of Army’s remaining home lacrosse games. Each of the four children will serve as ballboys during the game and receive an Army lacrosse pinney, a tour of the Truxton Lacrosse Center and Michie Stadium, in addition to an autographed media guide, game balls and an invitation to the post-game tailgate. Two tickets for adults will also be offered.
The baseball experience will be held in conjunction with the WPDH Hudson Valley Baseball Classic on Wednesday, April 29 when Army takes on Marist at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, N.Y. The winning bidder will receive four tickets to the Army Athletic Association pre-game picnic, four t-shirts and an autographed media guide. One individual will also throw out the first pitch during a pre-game ceremony, will be allowed on the field during pre-game warm-ups and will also have the chance to join the Army Sports Network as a guest of play-by-play announcer Rich DeMarco for one inning.
If experiences with the Army teams aren’t what you are looking for, the site also a lacrosse helmet, game-worn Nike football jersey, “Think Pink” warm-up shirts, a package of the winter giveaways including the “Black Jack” Build-A-Bear and bobblehead dolls of Bob Knight and Jack Riley, a bobblehead doll autographed by legendary hockey coach Jack Riley, a package from Army’s stay in the Conference USA, a complete set of the giveaways offered at Michie Stadium during the 2008 season, a limited edition lithograph, a copy of the 100th anniversary Army football media guide and a program set from the 1993 season.
New items are added often to the auction site and fans are encouraged to check back often for fresh collectibles.
