Black Knight Blog Honored As Best In Nation

ATHENS, Ga. – The Black Knight Blog, a daily, in-depth web log that has been providing fans with more in-depth coverage on Army sports than ever before, has been recognized as the best of its kind by Eye on Sports Media. The sports media news outlet named the Black Knight Blog as the 2008 Eye on Sports Media "Bloodshot Eyeball" Award winner for Best Sports information Department Blog.

Under the direction of Senior Associate Athletic Director Bob Beretta, the Office of Athletic Communications introduced the Black Knight Blog on July 22, 2008 as another avenue for Army fans to stay in tune with events happening at West Point.
Eye On Sports Media noted in their release that, “Berretta and his staff have taken the time to produce a product fully incorporated into their on-line branding.”
The Black Knight Blog’s intent is to provide fans with entertaining, pertinent nuggets of information that may not warrant a formal press release. Entries have touched on a variety of topics including:
- Additional, "behind-the-scenes" details surrounding the recent hiring of Rich Ellerson as Army’s 36th head football coach. (click here)
