Monica Peterson enters her first year with the Army Strength and Conditioning staff in 2008-09. Peterson is responsible for creating and executing the strength and conditioning programs for women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, swimming and diving, and volleyball. In addition, she will assist with the football program.
Peterson is a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, while also competing on Maine’s championship basketball team. After spending a year overseas playing professional basketball in Ireland, Peterson attended East Stroudsburg University for graduate work. At ESU, she earned a master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, while also serving as a graduate assistant coach with the women’s basketball program.
A native of Wilmington, Del., Peterson resides in Cornwall, N.Y.
