Love Named Associate AD For Compliance & Academics

WEST POINT, N.Y. Monica Love has joined the Army Athletic Association as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Academics, it was recently announced by Athletic Director Kevin Anderson.
Love comes to West Point from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she was the assistant director of athletics for compliance and enhancement.
At Army, Love will be responsible for interpreting and enforcing NCAA and conference rules. In addition, she will work closely with recruiting and eligibility for the nearly 1,000 cadet-athletes at West Point.
While at Baylor, Love was responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures and oversaw the NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules education program. She also prepared NCAA and conference waivers, interpreted and enforced NCAA rules, drafted legislation and tracked proposals through the legislative cycle in addition to assisting with championship administration.
Prior to Baylor, Love was the assistant director of athletics for compliance at Tulane University in New Orleans, La. There, she coordinated all aspects of the athletics compliance program, served as a liaison to campus offices and external groups and drafted employment contacts. She served as the tournament director for championship events and was a member of several NCAA certification subcommittees. She started at Tulane as the assistant director of compliance before earning a promotion.
Love started her intercollegiate career as an intern at the University of Iowa, following a stint as a legal assistant at the same university.
Love earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law where she authored several articles and participated in the International and Comparative Law Study Abroad Program in South Africa.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators, and the Each One Save One Mentoring Program.
Love is single and resides in Cornwall, N.Y.
