Army Sports Properties Partners with XOS Technologies
WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army Sports Properties in association with the Army Athletic Association has entered into a new agreement with XOS Technologies to host its web site (www.goARMYsports.com) beginning this weekend.
Visitors to the site should re-bookmark their computers to www.goARMYsports.com immediately. The old address (www.goARMYsports.cstv.com) will no longer serve as the Army Athletic Association's official site beginning at midnight Friday (June 30, 2006). The transition to the new site will take place throughout the summer, but fans will notice an immediate change this weekend as www.goARMYsports.com shifts to the XOS servers.
Visitors to www.goARMYsports.com are asked to remain patient as the new site is built. There is a transitional phase needed to become fully operational. The Army Athletic Association thanks visitors in advance for their patience during this transitional phase.
The move to XOS will greatly enhance the department's ability to communicate with its constituents and engage fans even more fully with Black Knight Athletics. One of the leading technology companies in the nation, XOS has partnered with a number of outstanding institutions nationally for web site hosting. In addition to the Black Knights, the XOS client list includes Alabama, Arkansas, Duke, Kansas State, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon and Oregon State.
XOS is creating a customized platform to provide a wide variety of interactive fan functions. Black Knight fans will be able to view news stories and live game-day statistics, subscribe for streaming audio and video coverage, purchase official team merchandise, participate in on-line auctions, sign-up for E-News updates, register for events and participate in other initiatives that are in the developmental stage.
Army will launch a scaled back web site Saturday morning that is operational in key functional areas like ticket purchasing, summer camp registration and on-line donations, while also providing Black Knights news and releases. Additional elements will be added on a daily basis with a comprehensive web site to be completed by the beginning of football season.
