Dear Diary,
This past week was good for Army Volleyball! We won three games, one on the road and two at home. Our first match was on Tuesday night at Marist. We left school that afternoon around 1:30 and when we got on the bus everyone passed out! We slept for about an hour before arriving at the Olive Garden for our pre-game meal. Olive Garden is our favorite so, we were all excited! My personal favorite is Linguine alla Marinara! I always tell myself that I am going to try something new but I just can't do it! The game went pretty well except that we started slowly in game one and ended up losing 27-30. The rest of the game went much better and we ended up finishing Marist off in four. In the last game, we played really consistently and worked well together on the court.
This past weekend was the start to the second half of our Patriot League season. We came away with a 3-1 win against Lafayette on Friday and a 3-0 win against Lehigh on Saturday. As a result of those two matches, we are now 17-3 and have the best start since 1987. We now only have five regular season games remaining with only two of them at home. This weekend we play Colgate and Bucknell and this could potentially be mine and Abby's last Army Volleyball games at Gillis Field House. I know we are both excited to share our senior night on Saturday with our family and teammates.
Until next time,
Mandy
