Doug Fillis joined the Army Athletic Association in 2005. In 2007, he was named Assistant Athletic Director for Development and just one year later, Fillis added the title of Assistant Athletic Director for Development (Major Gifts) and Revenue Generation. In his new role, Fillis will also supervise the day-to-day operation of the Army Athletics ticket office.
Since arriving at West Point, Fillis helped to grow the annual fund to an all-time record $3.1 million. He created and implemented the Beat Navy! Beat Air Force! Campaign and the Friends of Program to increase sport specific fundraising. Fillis oversaw the first ever Army “A” Club Golf Classic, restructured gift reporting, redeveloped the Army “A” Club web page and managed the wrestling and hockey locker projects.
Prior to coming to West Point, Fillis completed an internship with the Pace University Athletic Department in Pleasantville, N.Y. He holds a bachelors degree in Media Studies from Sacred Heart University, a masters degree in Mass Communication from Iona College and a graduate certificate in Sports Management Finance and Development from New York University.
